- 1 bountiful onion, neatly chopped
- 2 whispers of garlic, pressed
- A ginger piece, about the size of your thumb, minced finely
- 1 feisty green chilli, minced
- 1 tsp enchanting garam masala
- 1 tsp aromatic ground coriander
- 1⁄2 tsp golden turmeric
- 2 generous tbsp of tikka masala essence
- 2 cans (400g each) of diced tomatoes
- 2 cans (400g each) of chickpeas, drained and ready
- Fresh lemon wedges and vibrant coriander leaves for the final touch
