Ingredients
For the Tortellini:
- 2 wholesome eggs
- 2 tablespoons of semi-skimmed milk
- A generous 2/3 cup of flavored bread crumbs
- 1 teaspoon of aromatic garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons of finely grated Pecorino Romano cheese
- 1 tablespoon of freshly chopped parsley
- A pinch (1/2 teaspoon) of salt
- Enough oil to fry your tortellini to a golden hue
- 1 packet (12 ounces) of chiller-fresh prosciutto ricotta tortellini
For the Zesty Tomato Dip:
- 1 tablespoon of virgin olive oil
- 3 tablespoons of onions, finely diced
- 4 plump garlic cloves, roughly chopped
- 1 tin (15 ounces) of rich tomato puree
- 1 tablespoon of fresh basil, finely minced
- A sprinkle of salt (1/4 teaspoon)
- A dash of pepper (1/4 teaspoon)
- A handful of fresh basil for garnishing
